Product Description

Since its launch in 1983, G-SHOCK, a tough watch that continues to evolve in pursuit of ultimate strength, introduces a model that uses recycled materials with sustainability as its theme. The band uses material from the "FOODTEXTILE" project, which reuses food waste as dye. The base model is the GMD-S5600, a smaller and thinner version of the iconic square design DW-5600. The cross band of the GMD-S5600CT-3 is dyed with a color extracted from red turnip, giving it a gentle blue-gray hue. The cross band of the GMD-S5600CT-4 is dyed with a color extracted from cherry blossoms, resulting in a soft pale pink. It features gentle colors created with over 90% natural dyes. In addition, the band uses "TRUECOTTON," a traceable organic cotton that allows for "identification of the farm and spinning mill," reducing the environmental burden while protecting the working environment and craftsmanship of all those involved in production. Furthermore, the main resin parts of the bezel use biomass plastics derived from renewable organic resources, which are expected to contribute to reducing environmental impact, such as curbing CO2 emissions. It is a sustainable watch that is environmentally friendly, where things that would have been discarded are reborn as a new timepiece.
